I’m not like Moses, a towering man in height and stature.
He went before the greatest pharaoh of them all and led your nation through a parted sea.
Interceded before You day and night for his people.
I don’t know if I could ever measure up, but here I am. God, please send me.
Deborah, one of Your greatest and most impressive judges in Israel
She was a warrior, poet, prophet, singer, and songwriter.
Delivered your people from the hands of the enemies
I know I am not worthy, but for your glory, Adonai, send me.
David was a man after your own heart, a skilled warrior, and bold since he was a teenager.
He sought your face for every battle but messed up occasionally.
Chased ten thousand and led your people from victory to victory.
I may not know how to wield a sword, but El-Gibbor, please use me.
John the Baptist prepared the way for your earthly presence.
However, people near and far found him strange, and some would even say funny.
In the face of death, he kept his faith and stood firmly on what he believed.
I stumble from time to time, but I am available. El Shaddai can You use me?
There are so many more great men and women we know and admire.
We may think we cannot go because we’re not smart enough or ready.
Just like Joseph, Joshua, Esther, David, Elizabeth, Mary Paul, Peter, and Titus
We can start where we are with the Holy Spirit as our guide to help broken souls be free.
The Lord wants willing hearts and humble souls.
He does not want us to compare ourselves to our neighbours or people who study liturgy.
People like you and me who are willing to follow the great commission
People who will arise in the valley and on the mountaintop shouting
Here I am, Lord; make me a vessel of honour, and send me!
