The frailty of the man she slept with every night was clear to her the day she looked down the barrel of a gun

How could he even think about doing this to me? She pondered.

Why would he want to do this to us? She gasped.

Petrified she begged God to extend mercy to her before she took her last breath and every moment spent with him flashed before her eyes

Everything was a lie

The times spent together, the hugs, kisses and caresses were a farce

He only wanted her for pleasure, the gestures of flowers, dates and spontaneous pop ups were really a hidden agenda.

She wanted to create a lifetime of memories but he only wanted instant gratification.

To tell his friends she was conquest, to brag at the corner shops and bars that he was the alpha male

Marked his territory, had his fun, he was now on to the next

Plot twist

She became pregnant, a permanent reminder would now be the souvenir of their tryst

She was so happy, she now had a creation of their love

He was horrified, confused, and ashamed

He deserted her and never even said goodbye

She survived for the next few months like a ghost, slipping in and out of reality not sure how

she would survive but with her unborn baby she trudged along

It a was a Friday evening, she walked home tired and weary

She knew something was different about that day, something inside her felt wrong the atmosphere was eerie

A you name Terry-Ann?” the voice demanded!

The voice instantly made her shivered down her spine

Ainsley seh fi gi you dis” four loud explosions disturbed the still night

Darkness, pain and the smell of blood followed

This was what he thought her and his unborn child was deserving of? DEATH!

How could he even think about doing this to me? She pondered.

Why would he want to do this to us? She gasped.

The voice that once whispered sweet nothings in her ear and called her while they made love was the same voice that ordered her demise and the demise of their child

She clung to her tummy and winced in pain. “HELPPPPP” she cried out desperately

She pleaded softly “Lord don’t let us die alone and if one should go, please take me

As she sank to the earth she heard the wails of sirens and slipped smiling into oblivion.
